In our published Articles of Religion (Bierton Particular Baptists, Our History) there are 27 books in the New Testament scriptures.

They are ;

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, Jude, Revelation.

There are also many writings, since the first Century, claiming to be authentic and should be included in our New Testament Cannon.

We would like you to write an essay explaining at what point in history do we have recoded that these 27 books that were accepted as scripture, by Christians. In doing so state what were the governing factors used to determine what was scripture.

In doing so please make reference to the authors of each book and the date it is understood they were written, in particular the dating of the book of Revelation.
